Painting while immersed in the wilderness is my passion. I’ve been camping and painting in the uninhabited countryside from Alaska to Siberia and the Everglades for more than 30 years now. The purity and intensity of this practice is the measure against which I compare the paintings, woodcuts and carved metal I do in the relative comfort of the studio.
